Sounds to me like your shop like my shop will just try to sell you everything they can whether you need it or not.
I would'nt worry about the creatine period, celltech or not creatine is way overrated as a supplement and also has yet to be researched about the long term effects it has on users. Personally I have had no noticable effects from creatine, so I must be apart of the 30%approx minority who get no benefits from it, maybe I get it from my diet - High in red meats.
As yogi said, Protein should be your first and utmost concern(apart from working out and recovering), protein is the cornerstone of any workout program and should take precedence.
Creatine DOES NOT support muscle growth nor will it make your muscles grow any bigger nor will it cut you up. All creatine will do is supply your muscles with a miniscule amount extra of ATP\ADP for muscle use. ie. creatine will only give you a slight increase in energy, that is you may get 1 extra rep from it then if you didnt use it, thats it, nothing more, nothing less. Its also said to be a muscle volumiser, that means it enables your muscles to hold more water, thus making you looking bigger, but after discontinuing creatine use, the muscles will return to normal volumisation.
MO - Save your cash on the creatine and buy yourself a quality protein, maybe one of the timed release proteins, for use before bed, to prevent catobolism(?sp) whilst sleeping.
