Hey guys,

When I was on vacation, I found this discount store selling protein bars 5 for a buck. EVERY kind you could ever possibly find at any store.. stuff I'd never heard of. The expiration date was not even close to passed and the lady assured me that they were only cheap because they came from trucks that didn't make it to the destination, crinkled boxes, or other little flukes. So I bought a whole bunch and I've been eating about one a day.

I know they cary GREATLY and I have a lot of varieties on hand now!

What are they good for? What time of day? How often would you eat one? What type of person?...etc.

I'd appreciate the info!

Thanks

Protein bars should basically be emergency food. Not too many of them are good. I believe they use inferior ingredients to make these. I would not rely too heavily on them. Use them maybe for a treat.

really? interesting...thanks. I just had to buy a bunch at that price; they are so expensive normally. You're right, they work good for a chocolate craving once in a while. Then I don't have to feel quite as guilty.

The "carb solutions" ones seemed like they'd be a good evening meal but dang they have a lot of fat.

Thanks again.

There is a chocolate one that I really like. I'm prone to bad bad chocolate cravings...especially during my period. So I use them for that. :) If I get one of my cravings for chocolate, I go buy one and eat half of it. I save the other half for the next craving.

Five for $1 is CHEAP! The one I buy is $2.99 each.

what a good idea Gwin...eating one of those things is about as bad as eating a snickers. For some reason it just doesn't seem as bad, haha.

It was cheap...I had to take advantage of it. 2.99...wow, the most spendy one I've seen is about $2.19...that's crazy.

thanks!
