I started excercising - treadmill & rollerblading 3 - 4 times a week & weightlifting 2 times a week. I have been doing this about a month now, I do chest & triceps 1 day & biceps & back the other. I started taking Whey protein about a week ago - 3 servings a day 22g plus what I eat. How long before you start seeing results? I am a 34yr old male & weight 175lbs - I was 205 & lost 30 lbs & am now working out & trying to tone up & gradually bulk up. Should I work each body part more than once a week?

It can vary. I didn't start any protein supplements until I was 4 months into my program, and when I did start taking them, I noticed my "plateau," of being able to up my weights/reps was broken, finally, after about 2 weeks of use.

Don't expect miracles. You need patience, a sensible diet, the protein, and lots of work...have a look at the 6-week point, and don't compare it to the 5-week point; compare it to before you started. Keep photos and measurements. Don't get on the scale everyday; the water weight and daily variables will drive you nuts. Weight yourself first thing in the morning once every 4 days or so (after you use the bathroom).

Good luck. Patience and persistence will bring you where you want to be.
