Im am currently 31 5'10" and 215. I lift 5 days a week and do cardio 5 days after lifting. My arms, shoulders, and chest are getting huge, but I still have about 20 lbs I wanna loose and some belly fat.

Should I still be taking whey protein or is that helping keep my fat on?
Is it unnecessary calories?

It depends on how often you're taking it. I would say No...High protein diets are good for losing weight. Either way it's a good idea to get a PWO shake, but if you don't need shakes the rest of the day cause you get plenty of protein in your diet, then don't take it.

You might be working out to hard as well...try to take a few days off a week. You build more muscle outside of the gym then you do inside and you burn more fat in the kitchen then you do in the gym. So take it easy.
