I have been making protein shakes at work (Myoplex Lite) and the texture is starting to really bother me. It's like thick mud after a while.. bleech.
Does anyone do anything creative with their powders like freeze it into fudge pops or mix with something to dip strawberries in??
(I haven't tried these they just occurred to me today as I force another one down).

I have been adding some egg protein powder to my myoplex shakes. i think it gets rid of some of the "synthetic taste".
The other day i made a myoplex shake. Added a little extra water and didnt have time to drink it. About an hour later it seemed to thin out and was much better.

There was a time that I added a scoop of ff ice cream to my shake. It was good but it really didn't help further my goals. As for the protein powder, the difference between shaken and blended is like night and day. If that helps. Milk is preferrable over water too. If it fits into your plan, of course.

Myoplex is notorious for its thick consistancy...look into another MRP if it bothers you that much.:)

hmm I take whey protein(chocolate) 2 scoops 8- 10 oz of milk, 4 ice cubes,1 big squirt barleans flax oil and a spoon full of peanut butter and throw it in the blender.Yummy loaded with mixed proteins and efa's. Also cheaper than myoplex.

That does sound pretty good Mike.. I have some good powder (Bev Int'l) at home, and love to throw that stuff in the blender.
My trouble is this case of Myoplex packets under my desk at work that I just don't like (it's that consistency jdelts mentioned). I figure I bought it, I better use it... just trying to find a way to make it more appetizing until I use it up.
I guess I could always eBay it

If the consistency bothers you, you can always make a pudding out of it. It actually seems to sit in your stomach longer, and you also get the feeling of eating food.

I have made protein pops myself. I have found with experimentation that only some proteins do well(freeze and hold like a popsicle). Beverly Ultra size is one that works well, in fact they sent me a popsicle maker! Comes with little plastic sticks and everything. Kind of cool in the summer time.

Sel your leftover shakes on ebay, I know people who have done it!
BBfit - I will have to try making popsicles w/Beverly's Ultra Size...I tried to make protein shake ice cream when i was dieting and it was sad....
