I'm in the process of testing some protein powders myself, if anyone has done some trials, or research here....info would be appreciated.

Hey guys.. I prefer a whey protein or a whey isolate. Best time to take it is after a workout or between meals.
I personally like the Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein for the quality, cheap price and range of flavors.
With a slightly higher budget Gaspari MyoFusion is good along with Optimum Nutirtion HydroWhey.

It's important to read and understand the labels. Some powders have more fat or sugar than others. I compare. I look for a protein powder that has close to 30 grams of protein per scoop. My protein, which at the moment is Muscletech, Has 170 calories, 15 calories from fat, 1,5 grams from fat, 0 transfat, 1 gram saturated fat, 8 grams of carbs and 30 grams of protein per scoop.
I mix my post workout shake with skim milk egg white and I only use half a scoop of powder do I get close to 35 grams of protein with half the fat and half the calories. I add unsweetened cocoa fot the antioxidants.
The fat and calorie numbers in my brand are a bit high but I am able to get a good shake by adding my milk and egg white and reduce the calories and fat by cutting back on the powder.

Muscletech is the best protein I ever used. I stacked it with celltech and got very good results on strength shape and size. I cycled them for 4months on and 6Weeks off.
