I'm currently using pro performance 100% whey protein. I'm almost done the bucket and I'm wondering if anyone would suggest that i buy a different brand next time, for any particular reason. My protein has 120 calories, 21g protein, and 4.9g carbs for every 35g serving. The taste is definately not that great, so i guess that's a factor to consider too.

Thanks alot

What are you looking for in a product? Is it for all day use, post-workout, etc.?

I use it daily, sometimes I'll have a shake in the morning before cardio, I always have it after working out, and i always have a shake as my last meal before bed. If i should be having a different type for different times, I would love to hear about it. thanks

There is alot of fillers in that according to the protein and scoop size. You would want a higher protein per scoop for starters, say around 30,31.
But like rev asked whats your goals. carbs and fats, as well as type of protein will make a difference.

GNC mega whey tastes real good. I have been looking at trying the isopure zerocarb or the labrada v60.

I'm in the midst of trying to lose fat primarily while gaining muscle. And, over the past few weeks, it's been working out. I've gained inches and lost inches in all the right places. I'm taking in about 275g of carbs right now which I'll be dropping to about 220g in the next couple weeks. And right now I'm taking in about 180g of protein a day which I'll be increasing to closer to 200g.

Go for higher number in protein per scoop, and keep the fat and carb #'s low as possible. Go for whey isolate.

Is there any particular brand that you or anyone knows of for whey isolate? My main problem is that the only place i know of around here to get supplements is GNC, and everytime i go in there they're much more interested in getting me to buy something of theirs than helping me figure out what's best. I guess i can't blame them though, business is business.....thank god for this site

I found a cheap website dps nutrition. I think rev8ball has a biz also. Speaking of that I wonder if rev8ball has a discount for ft members.

I'd love to, guys, but we sell direct to retail, and offer distribution services only...
That still doesn't mean I won't put my 2 cents (and a cup of soup) in about supplements when I see fit...LOL!

As far as protein goes: whey is great for post-workout (with carbs); blended proteins (milk and egg, for example) are great for all day needs. Do a search for this as well - a ton of info already available on this site regarding this.
