protein shake while working out

Does anyone else use protein shakes during their workouts? I am tryingt o increase my protein intake and thought this would be a good way to keep the intake UP. Helpful at all ro am I wasting my shake during workouts? Thanks!

Helpful....sip in a glucose mixture. Sip is the key word.

I like to use a well diluted p+c mixture during my longer workouts (strongman training, fighting). Like BB1 said, sip.

I sip on a scoop of whey with some Bcaa's mixed in. Keeps my energy level up and decreases the chances of going into a catabolic state. I also do my workouts in the am before eating...so this is very improtant for me to do.
