Hey All,
I would really appreciate your advice/comments on the following information:
This is based on trying to lean bulk:-
1. I should take a protein shake before my morning workouts (so that by the time ive finished the workout my body has a ready source of protein), and then another protein shake before bed (to give my body protein for recovery/building while I sleep).
2. I should take a creatine shake before my morning workouts, and then another after the workout. However, ive heard that creatine (or rather ATP?) is stored until used, so it doesn’t actually matter when in the day I take creatine.
Many thanks in advance for your time, I think I’m getting there slowly.
Regards,
Jez.

I'm not so sure about taking the protein shake before your workouts. I think that would be a bad thing because the protein is going to slow down the blood flow through your muscles and that's not something you want to happen. It would be better to take it after the workout because that's when your muscles need the protein. And yes you should take one before you go to bed. Casien protein would be better at this time because it's a slow digesting protein and it'll last you a long time so your body won't go to your muscles for energy. I don't think that it would matter when you take creatine, but you should take it with either water, or a sugary drink like gatorade or orange juice.

I heard that you shouldn't take creatine with any sort of citrus based drink. I can't remember the reasons, just something I read on here.
Your best bet is grape juice when taking creatine.
-------------- - Its never about how much you can lift or how many reps you do. Its just about doing it and doing it right.
- If your hungry all the time your not eating enough and anyways, being hungry sucks.
