Pumping Iron re-release!!!

Arnold Posts: 1,112 Joined: 2000/11/27	2001/02/09, 10:38 AM Hey guys.. I'm sure that you are all aware of the greatest bodybuilding documentarty ever released - Pumping Iron! We as you may have noticed it has not been produced for the past 2-3 years. Copies are very rare . But.. due to it 25 anniversary this year.. Arnold will re-release it through HBO this Spring. It will be a 3 part volume. One will be the original, the other will be scence that were not included and the final volume will be a look at bodybuilding today. This is fantasitic! There was no word that it will be released on video, however I assume it will since the demand for it will be VERY high! Just thought I'd share the news! .o0 Arnold 0o.

mdefazio Posts: 5 Joined: 2001/11/10	2001/02/11, 03:33 PM Curently I have some real media files of scenes from pumping iron, I tried to contact adrian to see whether they could post them on the freetrainers site, (Im not sure of any legal issues which would be associated with posting the files) but adrians email address (adrian@freetrainers.com) was invalid... if anyone is interested I could email them to you, they are relatively small (I have 6 of them between 200 and 500 K) But I would rather post them online. I dont have a server up and running or I would do this myself... If anyone has a place online where I could post them for others to enjoy, I would kindly email them to you. mdefazio Posts: 5 Joined: 2001/11/10	2001/02/21, 09:52 AM I contacted the original Producer of the film -George Butler of "White Mountain Films" and supposedly the rights to the movie were sold as of 1994 to one Oak Productions. (As in "Austrian Oak"). I'm going to contact Oak productions to see if we can get the go-ahead to post video clips on freetrainers.com.

We would have to check with the copyright owners of those videos and explain the situation of FreeTrainers.com, as a free advice service, and maybe they would let us. Email feedback@freetrainers.com, or if that doesn't work for you, seeing how adrian@freetrainers.com didn't work, try freetrainers@hotmail.com as a backup and we can discuss it in more detail. Adrian

Arnold now owns the rights to the movie, not George Butler. The 3 part series will be shown in April sometime on HBO. There is no word on a release on tape any time soon. CRAP! .o0 Arnold 0o.

I learned a couple new techniques from watching them guys workout. I know see Arnold from a different point of view. ~billk~
