With respect to diet and nutrition, is it generally possible to bulk up (muscle-wise at the gym), but keep a good six-pack (Or, build a six pack)?

I know that to bulk up, I'll need to increase the amount of food I take in, with special emphasis on carbs and protein, but I've noticed that, doing so, my abs are less defined.

In terms of what foods should I eat, as well as frequency, what can I do? Living off supplements is not an option as I'm poor, so I'm referring to 'regular' food.

It's definetely possible, but it would probably be a pretty slow bulk (ie not much over maintenance.) In the long run it would be quicker to bulk then cut rather than do a slow bulk and sell yourself short in terms of muscle gains due to lack of nutrition.

Besides, it's almost winter, no need to worry about that ripped six-pack til at least May...
