Im using eggs a main protein source and I want to know if its healthy and is there a limit to how many egg whites I consume a day and if its safe to mix raw egg whites in with my smothies. Also should I eat some whole eggs or avoid the yolks all together.

No way, it's NOT safe to egg raw eggs also your body cannot absorb them as well as the cooked ones.
Egg whites is a great protein source but the only prob is that you have to eat A LOT of them to get enough proteins (an egg white gives you around 3.5 gr of proteins).
About the yolk, don't eat more than one or two daily. I don't know what you are trying to do (bulking or cutting) but you got all the fat and bad cholestorol in the yolks (but also the vitamines).

Ditto to what Nina said. You should also vary your protein sources by consuming lean meats, fish, chicken, dairy products and even protein powders. Don't just rely on one type of food as your main protein source.

Oh my god that's just way too many egg whites!!!! I would gas out my co-workers (sorry for being so un-feminine). Really though... try tuna, chicken, lean beef.... aren't the egg whites hard on your stomach??? Maybe I'm just albumin intolerant. The guy I train with eats lots of egg whites too - makes an omelet with egg whites and tuna -- don't train near him when he's training legs is my only warning!!! hee hee hee

ROFL @ robert! aint that the truth. my dog hated me and wouldnt even sleep in the same room as me every time i did a diet change.
the only problem i have with eggs r the yolks: absolutely murder my stomach! i can only do whites. and i used to do TONS of 'em.
