Welcome to FT... I feel as though I've been successful on this plan here.... I have seen some major changes in my body. It works... good luck!

I think that their nutritional plans are outrageous. Everything else on the sight is great.

It is a lot of calories. Look through the message boards - there are a lot of posts about this and many ways to figure your caloric needs.

The nutritional plans are somewhat high. They are assuming that you follow the workouts and cardio recommendations. They also assume that your calories will be of the 'quality kind' It's not to hard to meet them eating cheeseburgers and pizza. Much harder to meet when eating Chicken or Tuna, Brown rice, and Broccoli. (How many calories in broccoli anyway?) Nevertheless, they are still pretty high. Mine were anyway.

I think that sounds quite high in calories. I think depending on the way you are going to proceed, I'd think about researching some other options online and somewhere between 2,500 to 1700 to start might be better. Doing this with some walking, and weight lifting.

do me a favor and try the South Beach Diet for a few months and see what happens. You'll see the difference... I assure you. Its basically fish, chicken, ground turkey, and lean meats. Lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes, skim milk cheese sugar free jello califlower for mashed potatoes yummy celery stuff like that. You use vinegar and oil to taste. Go to the bookstore and look through the South Beach diet and just see. Good luck

I guess it would depend on what kind of calories your taking in. Is it lean meats, chicken, fish, veggies, fruit and the like? Or is it junk food? I personally am doing Atkins but many of the low carb diets are great. Southbeach offers you a bit more carbs and more freedom but the weight comes off a bit slower. Before you start any diet, check with your doctor to see what is best for you and your own personal needs. Best of luck to you on the weight loss. :)
