Alright, so obviously diet is extremely important in achieving goals. I tend to avoid eating healthy foods when they're not available to me, so I eat whatever I can get my hands on, and it's usually not very healthy. Therefore, I want to start preparing my meals for the entire week on Sundays. However, what are you able to make and store for the whole week? Meaning, I know some foods may turn bad or have some sort of negative effect if you store them in the refrigerator too long. Any help would be appreciated.

One of my favorite things to do is fry up 3-4lbs of ground turkey or bison, mix it with a couple jars of an organic sauce of some sort with chunks of vegetables in it (arabiatta is one of my favorites) plus a couple pounds of a vegetable of some sort cooked into it. I store that in a tub in the 'frig and dig my dinners out. It lasts from Sunday to Friday fine, if your 'frig is cold.

I tend to cook up batches of things on Sunday as well and I've not had a problem with storage over the week. I make things like grilled chicken breast, chili, lean burgers. I've even boiled eggs and peeled the shells and thrown them in a container in the fridge for quick breakfasts/snacks. I've kept grilled salmon in the fridge as well and it's been fine for several days....nothin's killed me yet:)

Thanks for the responses. So broiling a bunch of chicken breasts, and boiling brown rice, sweet potatoes etc. on Sunday, and storing them in the refrigerator for the week will be fine? Just clarifying...

I've heard some people cook their food, and then store it in the freezer. What difference does this make, rather than just storing the food in the regular part of the refrigerator? I'm guessing those people just heat the food up in the microwave when they want to eat it? Any help would be appreciated.

State health department for resturants is 72 hours max for storage of leftovers
regulations also state that all reheated foods mst reach 165 degrees.
This of course is for resturnats and not home usage
