I decided I liked the weight loss and definition training as it combines weight training with 20-30min cardio expectations. So I thought it would be a great start for my self. Being 5'11" @ 205lbs It says I should have:
210g Protine 525g Carbs 40g Fat 3263 Cal
Is that not a lot of Cal and Carbs per day? Just curious as I don't have a clue.
Thanks John

I found this one: http://www.annecollins.com/calories/calorie-needs-men.htm
Take a look and see if it says something else.
Yes for fat loss I think the carbs are a little too high.

Wow it said I needed the ball park of Cal per day. It was only 30 less a day. I am working out 5 days a week however so I should be ok. Evne thou I don't normally take in that much carbs anyhow.
Thanks for the site. John.

I would cut some of the carbs, do not think you will see much definition gain with that amount of carbs. and the majority of carbs should come from fibrous sources. Also for you it sounds like a circuit type training regimine would be good for you.

If you're looking to LOSE weight, you'll need to shoot for 2400-2800 calories per day. Cut the carbs in half or more and increase your intake of good fats.

Thanks again for all your post. I usually have <=2000 Cals a day, with probably have the carbs. Most of my carbs comes from cereal, bread etc. Might eat one pasta dish a week, but carbs are no where near the suggested amt.
As for weight loss, I would not mind lossing a bit of weight, I just think the program of weight loss and deffinition tonning looked like a great 8week start to getting back into the swing of things before I jump into another program.

Sounds exactly why circuit training may be just right for you. As far as calories, I estimate your maintenance calories to be int 2875 range. You could start by shaving 10% off of it, and doing around 2500 or so calories. See if this results in a loss. If not, shave another 10% in 2 weeks and see. Do a 50/30/20 or so P/C/F ratio with this caloric intake. Make your the majority of your carbs fibrous in nature. Cut out the pasta totally. Once you reach your goal, then just maintain from there. Sacrifices have to be made to get where you want to get.
