This might be a pretty dumb question, but how important is it to consciously contract your muscle hard at the contraction point of the movement. Looking at the exercise descriptions all of them say to flex hard when you reach the top of the movement? Before I didn't do it consciously, I just lifted the weight normally. Today I made sure I flexed hard at the top of each rep on my bicep workout. It tired me out faster and I consequently couldn't do as much weight. My arms don't feel to much different after because I generally work them to exhaustion. Is it important to flex at the top or am I just overthinking this?

I forgot to mention that I have gotten results off of just doing the sets without thinking.

First off there is no such thing as a dumb question....it's only dumb not to ask one...Concentration in the gym, in a workout, on a set, and most importantly on every rep is what seperates just a mediocre lifter that can build muscle by just swinging a barbell from a dedicated lifter who puts his all into every rep knowing that in the long run, this is the correct way to do it. Showing concentration on every rep shows that you are not phased by other distrations that can take place in the gym. Its you, your mind, the bar, the weight, the rep, the set, and who it's going to make you become.

Please Help! What do I have to do to restart my 8 week program. I try to follow the update excersise selection on the website but when I go through all the steps it says you have updated your excercise program succesfully but does not give me a choice to change the dates or restart the eight week section.
