Hi, My name is Jasmine ive just signed up here and basically need some advice about weight loss. I weigh approx 60 kg and am 164cm. Im looking to lose about 8 - 10 kgs, in about a month.

I was hoping for some advice on nutrition....i was thinking about goin on one of those shake diets just to kick start the process but having never used them before would like some opinions about if they are effective or not.

I have about 3 free hours everyday to work out I was wondering if it was worthwhile exercising for that whole time or just sticking to the hour of cardio a day ive been doing.

Also i dont currently do weights but if someone could suggest how much i should lift and how many reps i should be doing...taking into account I dont want to end up looking like i belong to the german olympic swim team.

Cheers Jas:)

In the Diet forums bb1fit posted an awesome diet for cutting weight, but it's pretty strict so you'll need to be super dedicated if you choose to follow it. otherwise there is regular old calorie management which will work too.
You weigh around 130 pounds if I did my math right. I'd suggest eating right around 1500 calories a day, with cardio for weight loss. This is of course subjective depending on your activity level and how many calories you are burning during exercise. If you are going bananas on the treadmill, you'll actually need to eat more than that.
Don't be scared of lifting weights. There's no way you'll lose your femininity by strength training. The ones that do are eating and lifting(and often times juicing) specifically for those goals. Strength training will actually magnify your fat burning results.
