Thats what I got yesterday during my first workout. Let me explain when I was in high school it seemed I had no problem with benching 250 lbs and squatting at 425 lbs."Fast forward 7 years with no gym time" So yesterday I figure I would start with a nice realitve weight like 150lbs. Lets just say getting it off the bench seemed near impossible. So I dropped it down to 100 lbs and I seemed to regain control. My only problem is how quick should I start boosting weight. Last I remembered In High school we went 10 ibs a week. I am afraid that this may not be a good idea know. Any suggestions ? If this has been asked before sorry still trying to figure out how to search through all these post for what info I am looking for.
lol same here. used to do 240-50 on bench. or I did when i was in high school. did a lot of weight training during and well before rugby season. been out of it for 4yr. going back in, 100lbs was a lot... but like mentioned you will move up again.
