I have small bumps on the backs of my arms which are slightly red. I dont know what they are but when I work out they get extremely red and Im kind of embarassed about them.
Does anyone else have them or does anyone know ways of getting rid of these?

you might just want to see a dermatologist. probably not anything serious, like hives from the increased bloodflow or something. but i'm not a doctor.

Back of your arms? Have they been there all your life? If so, this is completely genetic and nothing to worry about. BUT if it really concerns you or is causing any physical problems, go get it checked out for your own peace of mind.

It's called Keratosis pilaris. It's plugged dead skin cells at the site of a hair follicle. It's usually worse in the winter time because your skin is drier. Peeling agents such as retinoids and lactic acid creams can help by removing the excess skin at the site of the follicle. It is hereditary, so treatment will be ongoing. I have read that you should definitely NOT exfoliate that area with a strong scrubbing apparatus or mixture (such as sea salt scrubs) since that sometimes will drive the plugged cells even deeper into the follicle and make it worse.

Riot I have the also the dermatologist told me thats it's fine. I have found a little lotion to keep the skin smooth helps a little. But no need to be embarassed just build huge arms and no one will notice the bumps lol.

I was also told it has to do with cellular respiration, make sure you get enough selenium in your multi-vitamin.
The healthier I get, the less the bumps are noticable. Maybe it is because i put on lotion after showering after every workout, try a good lotion like Neutrogena or Eucerin.
I also had these bumps on the sides of my face for a long time, though they are gone now.
Good luck!
PS - most people at the gym are to busy worrying about themselves and how they look to notice your bumps.
