This topic may have been covered before, but I haven't seen it yet. I am 28, 5'10", bewteen 235-240lbs and trying to lose weight and tone what muscle I do have. That being said, I understand the need for resistance training, but not the amount of reps or sets to accomplish this. I am not looking for large muscle mass gains (at least not yet), just that toned look. Any help ie., and example routine would be great.

Never mind, I found some old posts that had everything I was looking for. I'm actually sorry that I even used the word "toning". I had no idea it was such a misnomer in the world of physical conditioning. I know they are old posts and not directed to me, but thanks to Mutt,BB1, and assimer, you guys are rockstars
