I am brand new to the FT program and I am really excited about starting... I have looked over the daily traing guides though, and got myself quite confused. I am wondering as I do my second (or third or fourth) reps am I supposed to increase the amount of weight that I use? I know that the weight should be so that the last three reps are very difficult to do, but am I supposed to increase or decrease my weight on a different set of the same exercise or keep it the same until that weight becomes too easy and then increase that way? Thank you so much for your help!

Hi Nicole and welcome to ft. You are correct in your process of increasing weight. Your first set is usually a warm up set of say 10 reps, so use a light weight. As you start to get to the last couple sets you should be at about you maximum weight that you can handle. You may decide to increase by 5lbs or 10lbs depending on the excersice and what you can handle. Good luck.
