How much time do you need to rest between sets, while building mass?

1-2 minutes is ideal. Good luck!

if your doing mass building stuff anywhere from 1 and a half to even 3 minutes..power bench 3 or 4 minutes as well. wouldn't do this every week..maybe 2 on 2 off or something like that

From what I have read, 2-3 minutes is best. The point is to make sure that your muscles regain most of their strength before doing the next set. You want to lift as heavy as u can 4-6 reps and no more than that. You should never burn your muscles when you are trying to add muscle. Burnouts cause glycogen stores to delplete in your muscles which then hinder muscle building.

My source for mass building is www.ast-ss.com Just stay away from any steroids.

Do the 45 count. One to three min. rest is not good for mass bulding. You want to keep the pump up. If your power lifting, rest 2 or 3 min. I count to 45 sec. sometimes less before doing an other set. There is one down fall, you can't lift as much if you rest so little. But you pump more water and latic acid into your muscles and that makes them grow.

If you do sets too close together you tend to "burn" them out, which hinders muscle growth.

From what I have gathered from my reading and things, maximum overload gives u muscle mass. Therefore, lifting lighter weight is not going to help you build muscle. That is why you should wait longer IMO and try to lift heavier weight.

I am not 100% on this but i dont think lactic acid has anything to do with building muscle.
