I did these for the first time today, for back day, and I had alot of pain in my wrists.I thought maybe the weight was to high, but I didn't feel anything other than in my wrists,so I thought it may be my form, tried moving my hands closer and wider...no difference. Is it common to feel pain in the wrist with this exercise...should I try something else instead?

Thanks!

If you've never done them before, they take some getting use to in the wrists. However, shouldn't really be any pain, maybe some initial discomfort. Lower the pounds, and make sure your wrists are in a neutral position, that is, not flex or extended. This exercise will work the forearms as a secondary, but the stress on the wrists should be minimal.

I'll try lowering the weight...Thanks!!:)

I'm new to free weights and picking them up has caused some soreness in places I didn't know you could get sore!!
