I am really confused here and kind of pi$$ed off to say the least...being in the navy I am exposed to a random urinalysis and they are always looking for something to find (I feel like). I was at training this morning and to my knowledge I discovered that they have been investigating individuals with a high content of riboflavin because supposedly it shows up as THC or something to that effect. I 2 drink Isopure zero carb protein shakes daily and now I am worried that I may pop on a urinalysis. I have never ever done drugs except partake in alcohol here and there and now I am suppose to be worried bout how much riboflavin I get because it may be too much and any elevated level of anything creates suspicion in the navy it seems. Does anyone have any iformation on this and in my 2 protein shakes am I taking in too much.....all I am trying to do is feed my body and get in shape here.........:angry:Geesh........any iformation is appreciated.

That's a new one to me. The biggest side effect I've ever heard is a harmless discoloration of the urine. Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) is converted by the body into two products needed by enzymes to break down carbs, proteins, and fats, and enable oxygen to be utilized by cells. I know that it's most plentiful in animal products, but there is also a decent amount in green leafy veggies. So, on that line of thinking, maybe MJ has some in it, and that is their logic. But that sounds like a real stretch. My advise to ask if that's the case, because there is alot of food products that may give a false positive. I wouldn't worry too much until I heard an answer.

Good luck......
