The ESPN Bassmaster Classic kicks off tomorrow on my lake. I don't understand the sport but I intend to get national press coverage on me and the boat. Look for a 30 foot cruiser with the geezer on board. She's named "Sawdust and Paint". She only runs 50 so the bass masters will pass me like I'm backin' up. I intend to get on national tv....or arrested. Charlotte NC in 2 superbowls in 1 year. The two most important F's. Fishin' and Football. YEHAA who'da thunk it? Look for me.

My mom lives on her boat in Chicago, and she's on nat'l TV each year at St Paddy's Day, stirring up the green dye in the river.
You could always run up a freetrainers.com flag for us -- black magic marker on pink legwarmers?!!

Cupcake, Beelzabubba is on a mission. However up on Crowders creek smack in the middle of the superbowl of fishin', there is an 8 foot long black and white fiberglass cow in a friends front yard. I just love the redneck riviera!!
Me and my pals Hepple and Bucky are going to see if we can borrow him and take him waterskiing. We have to get permission since rustling is still a hanging offense.If successful we will surely catch the helicoptor's eye.
I have a few other tricks up my sleeve to get the FT banner out there if that fails. Dani, there is a sizable woman with a good sense of humor 3 slips down . I'll try to wrangle a pair of pink tights to rig a burgee. Have to be careful again though. I think pink and silver are the international sign of plague. You can't screw around with the homeland security guys.

Wow, I hate to double post but the tournie was a bust for me. I never saw so much law enforcement in my life. Several friends got pulled 3 and 4 times. It was a very politically correct weekend. We salvaged Friday and Saturday nite with some excellent homemade music but that was it. :angry:

I was looking for the plastic cow, but when I didn't see that or any pink leg warmers after about 30 minutes I changed the channel. Sorry Charlie!

They did most of the coverage inside at a stadium. I gave up after 20 seconds of watching fish get weighed.

One would think that the SUPERBOWL of fishing would be entertaining. Hec all I saw on tv was what you saw. The atmosphere on the lake was oppressive. There were half a dozen hovering helo's and a score of law enforcement boats. The tournie basically riuned a perfect lake weekend. After the first hour Friday, I read a couple of books for the rest of the weekend.
I hear it moves to N'Orleans next year. Good riddance.

I went Bass fishing myself this weekend. I had three big catches, but they all fought their way off of the hook as I was pulling them in the boat. I had atleast a 5 pounder on the line, he was huge.
