It's been 2 dayz since i began working out at the gym and its my first time. Im lookinmg to tone up and to target specific muscles like the biceps. I cant afford to put mass on since i play basketball. im pritty thin being 1.84 cm(6.0 foot) and 154 lb (70 KG). Can anyone advice me on if i should do quick or slow reps to get that ripped tone look with out the mass. Also should i keep my reps high and sets low or reps low and sets high. I also heared that to reduce the mass when working out i should take up cardivascular excersie (iuse the treadmile). Thank you for your help and advice.

i would suggest you start off slow and easy. Perhaps start by doing light weights to get use to the motion which will allow you to do 3 sets of 12-13 reps.
Cardio is good 30 -45 min 5 times a week. Basketball is a form of cardio since you are up and down the court.
Try one of the fitness programs here on ft.
Remeber the key is to eat well, lean and clean!
Good Luck

You probably want a little strength, but more endurance type training. Circuit training may be in order for you. That in breif is do one exercise, go directly to the next, then the next, and so on, only one set of each. Then when you completed the circuit, do it again. Repeat that 3 times or so. May just fit your needs. A universal type machine is excellent for this. Hope this helps and good luck.
