Hey all, I'm currently trying to lose a good amount of weight and I know my diet is crucial to loose weight. Along now with a strict diet I am working out 5-6 days a week, each day I lift followed by 3 miles of cardio (usually tread mill with high to medium incline). My question is does anyone have some suggestions for what body part to target each day so I can lift everyday but not burn out my muscles? Below is a a schedule like something I would do for the week but not sure if it puts me at risk of over lifting a certain muscle or if I should spread it out more. Any suggestions or should I stick with this?
Monday- Chest, Bi's
Tuesday- Back, Tri's
Wednesday- Shoulders,Legs
Thursday- Chest, Back
Friday- Arms
Saturdays(not every week)- Shoulders, Legs
** I follow this with a protein drink (mixed with water) then run/jog/walk 3 miles.

While trying to diet? The best split is usually total body.

Wrestler is correct, and adding to this I would suggest your total body workout be of a circuit type. Very effective for your goals.

Just wanted to say thanks. This routine is great, I am getting much more accomplished each day than I was before, and find myself looking forward to my lifting days more. Also how much cardio would you suggest to do on the lifting days in comparison to my cardio days?
