Hello. I have just been diagnosed with a fully ruptured distal. 6 days ago I damaged the tendon whilst using gmnastic rings (not my usual exercise). I am 45 and have a desk job but I am very physically active. I have trained with weights for 27yrs and also run. I now have to make a decision if to have surgery or not. At the moment my arm feels quite strong but the bicep has risen and there is a gap between my bicep and the crease of my elbo. I'm not too bothered how the bicep may change in position, but can anyone tell me if the bicep will shrink or if I will have a much weaker arm once I start training after the swelling has gone. Also interested to hear from others whodid not have surgery and if they could continue at a semi-serious weight training level
