You get the efa's from salmon, with a little protien, You get alot of protien from chicken. So a balanced diet would have you eating both. H\Include salmon in your diet at least 1x per week or get some flaxseed oil for the efa's. But don't mix up chicken and salmon. They are both good though. Hope this helps.

it does! im really trying to compare it in portions...like you would you have the same ounces of chicken that you would fish?

heres the numbers 3.5oz of chicken 31grams of protien 4 grams of fat. Salmon has 27 grams of protien and 7 grams of fat. Note that the fats are different. The salmon contains those good omega 3's.

The same amount of salmon would have to be more calories due to the fat grams. Granted these are good healthy fats, but fats are 9 calories per gram, while protein and carbs are 4. Thus, even if protein is the same amount per ounce, fat isn't, so by simple math, salimon would have to be more calories. If you are strictly calorie concious, chicken is the way to go, or reduce the amount of salmon to equal the calorie count.
