On a recent trip to the grocery store, I was looking for some new nutritional foods to add to my diet. I had totally forgotten about sardines. 20 grams of protein in one can!! I found me a nice source of protein and good fats for my snacks now!!!

Peanuts or Walnuts and can of sardines is good!
I like to do stuff like make a bowl of rice and beans or 1 of the 2 and add sardines to it and maybe some tuna.
I like to make sardine stuffed Omelets.
Some say GROSS I say Protein packed!

Mmmm...sardines! LOL...I used to eat them all the time. The only thing is if I open a can at work I know I'm going to hear about it. Tuna and salmon are bad enough. BTW, those tuna and salmon steaks individually packaged are pretty good.

Take some whole garlic cloves a can of sardines and put them in a oven safe pan with a bit of olive oil. Roast at 300-325 until the garlic is nice and soft and brown. Mush up and have with meat, rice or even bread (if allowed).

Wow, that sounds interesting, Georgiagirl. My bf hates the smell of garlic and sardines, he's going to love me!

If my husband hated garlic he would never have married me. Thank God we both LOVE garlic and we eat it almost every night. After a big helping of the garlic and sardines he did smell kinda funky last night though.

lol...well, my bf is a picky eater anyway, so a lot of the time we just eat different things. I love my garlic, too.
