I was up at 1:00 am and she had on Bob Greene her fitness trainer. There were all these inspirational stories of people fatter, older, and busier than me who found time to work out. So I decided NO MORE EXCUSES. Here I am!

Good for you! All it takes is to do it one day at a time. make small easily reachable goals at first. Once you reach a few make them harder. I am trying to get back to running a mile again. It is made easier by this iste. So good luck and welcome!

Someone once told me to go and get a pair of pants that barely fit or that I couldn't do up and put them on my dresser. Try them on in a month. Don't OVERLY concern yourself with the weight of your body (every body is different). Try the pants on in a month and you will probably have to go and get another pair of pants to put on the dresser! That way you don't get discouraged when you step on the scale and see you gain a pound...then go on a feedeing frenzy. This way you go on fit and finish. Good Luck!
-------------- Trackerchik wishes you the best in your fitness endeavors!

Good for you moomy! It can be done. I'm an x smoker, didn't gain fat from quitting smoking as the training took care of that! When I started I was really out of shape. I coudn't walk more than 5 minutes at 3.5 mph on the treadmill. Now I'm doing a 6 minute mile!
Good luck and welcome to FT.

Well, I hate to be a smartass here but, hopefully this trainer will get Oprah back on track. She's always had a hard time keeping the weight off. Attitude, motivation, and one's overall desire to be healthy make workout programs successful. Good luck applepiemommy. You can do it! (voice of cajun in the movie "waterboy") hehe DP
