Hello all,
I was searching the web for a free nutrition tracker, and found this site. I am 36, and would like to get back into some decent shape. Currently I am about 35 pounds overweight, and would like to reach my goal by age 40. I am pretty active, because I work a lot with my two dogs (a labrador and a poodle mix). But I suppose the slowing of the metabolism and my love for food just tripped me up. I also am a member of another Weight Watchers based site, but there is so much negativity among the people, that it doesn't seem to inspire me at all. So I am looking for positive inspiration here, exchanging with people who actually do go out and exercise. That has helped me years ago to get back into a healthier lifestyle after my kids were born. I can't afford to go to the gym, so I will be doing an exercise plan at home that I just printed out. I am in great spirits, and can't wait to get started. I hope to meet nice people here, and.... well, I guess that is it for now.

Welcome to FT! Like Deni said, the support here is the best. There is a ton of excellent information here and the people are very motivating. This site and the people on it are the reason I'm finally able to get excited about getting back in shape and sticking with it!!!

Thanks for the welcome, Deni and Manny!
I already read a whole bunch of stuff on the site, and the information seems endless. One of the posts really hit home. It talked about people giving up so quickly, before even giving themselves a chance to succeed. That is so true, and I can see that this site is so much more positive than anything I have seen on the web so far.
