When doing the seated twist abs exercise it says to keep your head facing forwards (or strait). Does that mean to keep looking in the original direction (in line with your legs) or to keep your head strait with your upper body (so it would turn and face the direction your upper body faces)?

In my opinion... I would say keep your head in line with your spine, the whole thing should rotate together. So your face should turn with your body. It is just easier on your neck.

Is that the same with the bent over twists? I found them awkward if you didn't turn your head with your torso.

I think anytime you rotate your torso, your head should follow in its normal, neutral position - not turning it that direction like you would to look over your shoulder, but keeping it in line with your spine, so if your sternum is facing one direction, your face should be facing that direction.
Does that make sense the way i put it?

Yup.... it sure does... I tried it both ways and turning the head was more comfortable and easier on my neck and back...

Thanks!
