I have been lingering around this site for just about a full day now, and I have to say it has got me quite intrigued. I thought it was about time for me to introduce myself, or at least give you a general idea of who I am.

My name's Carolyn, hence the 'nickname'. I'm 17 (female), living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I'm no expert or even remotely close to it, but I am quite interested in learning and this seems to be a real friendly community to do so.

I have been vegetarian for 3 years, and have recently taken up a vegan diet (no animal products or bi-products such as meat, dairy, eggs, etc.) I'm a regular at the gym, 6 days a week and thoroughly enjoy the time I spend there.

I am a little frustrated with the progress I have been making, and I'm most certain it has everything to do with the way I eat. I am currently working to change my eating habits, whether I see the results in my body or not...my health will thank me I'm sure.

Thankyou for the positive atmosphere you've all set, this place makes me smile! It really is encouraging to read these message boards.

Perhaps in the future you'll get to know me a little better, and I, you. I do realize this introduction has been fairly dispassionate. It is a little awkward, introducing myself this way. Any questions and I would be more than willing to answer!

Thanks for your time,
-Carolyn

Welcome to FT!

This is a dandy place to get all the information you'll need....

You're just up the road from me... I'm in Red Deer!

Feel free to ask all the questions you can think of!

Why thankyou!

I have so many questions I would like to ask, and I suppose I will eventually get a few of them out...for now it's just a little overwhelming.

Thanks again for the welcome,

Well, it is a lifestyle change... it ain't easy, and I don't think anyone on this board will tell you otherwise...

Just remember, if you fall, get back up... twice...
