semi-graphic question for a mom

I am 18 years old, and have never been pregnant before, but I have a few symptoms, including being 5 days late (and im usually on time), frequent urination, weird food cravings, fatigue and nausea. I am not sure if this is a symptom, but I have had a very sticky discharge for the last 2 days (clear and odourless) I also recently got an UTI. (I had to pee a lot before I got the UTI, so I think it is possible that I got it from holding myself while at work) I am not sure if I should take my HPT yet because I do not know if a false negative could occur due to my UTI. Another question I have is about smoking marijuana. Although I quit smoking cigarettes (1 month ago) and pot (4 months ago), is it possible that complications will arise (assuming i am pregnant) due to my actions prior to conception?

HotFITmom Posts: 31 Joined: 2005/08/21	2005/12/11, 12:06 PM If I were you I would go ahead and take a hpt. They can show your preggo even if just one day late. That way you know. IF IT IS NEGATIVE then maybe call your doctor and talk to them about your symptoms and ask they do a blood test. Signs of pregnancy are usually sore breast, fatigue and nasua. You usually dont have weird food cravings early on. Although I guess it is possible. Also if you have stopped smoking both cigs and pot I think you will be ok. Just as long as your not smoking now! michelle9510 Posts: 172 Joined: 2005/07/14	2005/12/11, 07:15 PM take a home pregnancy test. they are cheap and results in three minutes. Don't smoke!!! I smoked the first few weeks I was pregnant with the twins because I didn't know I was pregnant. My boys are fine.

I was planning to go to college in Sept., but now it seems I will be having a baby in Sept..Oh well.
