Ok why is it that because you do not do the gym lifts that you susposed to by those that" know what they are doing", allows them to ridcule you? Case in point these 3 assholes come in and really all I have seen them do is forearm work, 20LB DB rows and the occasional bench press/bor lift. Anyway I am DL and the only spot is right in front of the rack and behind me is the bench press. So I had just hit 405 and went to 435. I put the chalk on and do my lift....I got it nice and easy and this was after a new SQ max (375x1). I was done with the chalk and I clapped my hands to get a bit more off. These 3 punks start laughng and clapping and making no doubts that they are mocking me. So, i got back to the bar lift it again and walk 3 feet forward and place it on the rack. then I turn around and God help me I flipped them off.
I know I know, not worth my time, etc....but goddamm I spend a lot of time WORKING in there and not JO all over like they do. I out lift them on EVERYTHING but I have not ever made one remark to them.......maybe it is the testtostrone replacement shots I am taking or something like that but I was ready to brain them!

I just laugh. I am so amused by what I see in the gym it is like going to a comedy club 4 times a week.

They looked away and soon were "done" with benching. Mind you they have used this weight for 10 months or so on bench and still have shitty form and issues with it.

Don't let it bother you then. They're retards.
Any effort, by you, to explain to them ways to increase strength would be fruitless. Go about your business and ignore them. If they really get on your nerves, throw dumbbells at them.

seriously, i'm not sure why this happens. i mean, i consider myself pretty strong for my age, but i am nothing but respectful at the gym because a lot of the guys there are correctional officers and firefighters (i.e. much much stronger than I am). i can't remember the last time there was anything similar to that at my local gym.
not much you can do about it.
