Today sucked I had to ref a soccer game unknowing that I was going to do so and then I went to train and my lower back started to tighten up real bad on me so I had to just call it quits and go home.
DE Lower Squats 5x5 Pauses at 60% 1rm (these along with bench Pause are going to be once a gain a major part of DE days because they do so much good for me. Barx8 135x8 185x5x5 with Pauses Ok here goes the back so I'll stretch it out. Suspended from chains is the only way I like to do good mornings heavy. From the rack never feels the same at the start of the movement, and I don't like eccentric concentric work on the good morning, since I have a tough time staying in a real good groove.
Not sure what the point is on the squat, since you are removing the weight from the chain to begin with, unless you just want to avoid the eccentric. For me it was a 1st time lift and I know shit about what we do and just follow along and pay attention. we have yet to try anything where the weight is suspended from chains. if you have the pins at the same height, what would be the difference with the chains like that?
the squats are just bascially like bottoms up squats or whatever they call them... i feel like i could get some use out of that too |

The chains will let the bar find a better starting position than pins, since the weight is immobile from pins, but can "swing" from the chains. You can also set up so the chains are almost pulling back or forwards at the start. It's difficult to describe but if you get to try it you'll see what I mean.
We use 25,000lb test strapping. Same thing, but it saves on bar wear and we keep the chains for adding weight. Cheaper too, just slightly less bad ass. -------------- SQUAT MORE ~Jesse Marunde Blood Guts Sweat Chalk |

I'm officially a Powerlifter!
Meet Results Squat 245 3 White 265 3 White 303 3 White PR Joined the 300 club today! Bench 225 3 White 248 3 White 253 3 White Deadlift 348 3 White 374 3 White 402 He pulls it up smooth and fast it feels and looks easy but for some damn reason after he locks it out and he apparently doesn't hear the down command he keeps pulling hyper extending his knees and leaning way to far back just to have his thigh pop the bar right out of his hands and now he still remains out of the 400 club and screws up his chances of hitting 2 milestones in 1 day. All I had to do was take the bar back down you know the easy part of the lift! Raw Total = 930 All and all it was a great day and even though I got pissed for about a minute I regained my pride for a great day at my very 1st meet with many more to come. In all my lifts I got to follow Scott Cartwright as he made history Squatting 1025 then he got a 705 Bench along with a 770+ not sure on exact number but is was around 700 to 705 Deadlift. -------------- Knock-Um Down & Keep-Um Down! Well I screwed up real bad yesterday as my kids soccer game.
I went over a 8 foot fence twice to get a ball and kept getting my pants stuck on the poky part of the fence at the top and some how mess my shoulder up while trying to save myself from a bad fall since the pants got snagged it would have been a bad fall but instead I got a screwed shoulder. I have limited rang of motion and may have to call in for medical attention tomorrow if it don't start getting better. So damn pissed off right now! I'm not mad that I had to miss DE Bench today I'm pissed thinking I may be out for a while as I can't even raise my arm. -------------- Knock-Um Down & Keep-Um Down! It's ME Lower today and I'm still not ready but putting the key into my ignition was a lot easier today and I'm progressively getting better each day.
I think I may be able to return this weekend and do the weekend as ME instead of DE but if not I should be back next week. I plan on getting medical attention soon as today just plan sucks and I'm starting to get depressed that I can't lift.
I know I have and many people find ways to work around injuries but I can't even stick my arm out to put key in ignition without pain and my range of motion just suck ass as a matter of fact I'm going to call the doc right now because I'm really getting irritated that I can't lift. -------------- Knock-Um Down & Keep-Um Down!
