I work the Midnight shift (7-11 to be extact) and I play a fairly intense (for me anyway) set of indoor soccer on Tues & Thurs from 4-5:30pm. It's a non-stop 90minute session where you go hard for a few minutes and if you're running low on gas, you sub off for a few minutes.(approx. 5 minutes @ a time give or take depending on amount of ppl) No half-time rest.

a) Can I consider the soccer to be my cardio, or should I still be doing more in the gym throughout the week.

b) is it ok to play on a day that I am sheduled (according to my ft schedule) to be doing weight training?

c) Is there a way that I can create some variations in order to accomadate my work/soccer schedule?

Thanks guys.

In my opinion...the soccer should be plenty of cardio...and I have never had a problem with lifting and cardio at the same time.
