Lets just say I wasn't paying attention to my form at the time,( a woman in tight shorts walked by) I was doing dips with a 45 lb weight. You need to pay strict attention to the form. I tore my right rear delt, and left front delt. It has taken me 4 months to heal and I am back into traing.

Take it easy on anything that works your delts, for at least 8 weeks. Get some blinders, or have her stand in front of you while you work out so it won't happen again.

You should always keep your head, neck and spine in perfect alignment when doing any movement with weight. Turning your head to look around is a good way to really injure yourself. At the least you will eventually pinch a nerve you can even herniate a disk and thats no fun at all.A year off training or you may never lift again.Good form isn't just a phrase for the gym!

welcome back. I guess that was a costly lesson! I hope I can remember strict form next time I'm doing dips and get distracted...
