Hey,

I have pulled a slight shoulder injury nothign to bad hopefully. I am experiencing small twinges in my left shoulder joint. I am planning on taking 4 - 7 days of the working out and focusing on the legs and abdominals in this time. I was wondering if i decided to take a week or so off the arms, back and shoulders would i loose much muscle and power at all? I would keep up the protein but i am worried i might loose some strength. But i suppose that would be better then to keep going and hurt the shoulder for a longer period - just want to know if i do would i expect to see a decrease in my weight lifting levels? which are quite high currently. Can anybody also recommend ways to fasten the healing process?

check your post in powerlifting section

additionally I would rest the shoulder....and I would do exercises to strengthen rotator cuffs...

focus on exercises with external rotation....go light for reps of 15-20...

glucosamine/chondroitin is a good supplement to take for the joints(as long as you're not allergic to shell fish)...along with fish oil

squats should maintain your strength, like menace3000 said external rotations, and internal rotations and shoulder abductions,go light and do 15 or 20 reps.
