I have been suffering from chronic shoulder pain since I helped my sister paint her house. I have a hard time sleeping cause of the pain and I am limited to activities that I can do because of the pain.. The pain is more severe in the morning after awakening and in the evening after some mild activities. Could I possibly have a torn rotator cuff??

I have no idea, but you should probably see a doctor or a chiropractor soon. If it is serious, and it's left untreated, it will most likely become worse over time.

Shoulder pains can be quite serious. Please go and see a doc!

Shoulder pains limit your whole upper body movements. They really are nothing to play with. You really should see someone as previously recommended.

I agree with them to go see a doc. It sounds like it may be a tear but also you just could have over owrked it and it is swollen kinda like tenodists (spelling). So go see a doc take some advil or something for the inflamnation and see what happens.

I doubt very much that you have damaged your rotator cuff. It sounds like you have stressed the shoulder muscle or an upper back muscle by a lot of movement that you are not used to. What part of the shoulder hurts and what movement agravate it? How do you sleep if you like your arms raised while you sleep try vary hard to keep them down. Keep us posted
