hi there,
first want to say great site! and thanks for all the posts and responses i have learned a lot on here!!
i'm having a problem with my shoulders, i get worn out lifting in the gym doing intermediate exercises (seated dumbbell press, lateral raise, etc.) but they are not gaining real well or getting sore.
the rest of my arms which used to be the hardest to get gains are getting bigger but i can't see any growth (or minimal) in my shoulders. they used to be pretty big for my frame and then i got really sick and lost almost all of my progress (i have an extremely fast metabolism, and if i get sick most of my body eats itself away pretty quick:( )
anyone have any suggestions????
many thanks!!

Are you gaining weight cause they are not going to grow otherwise.

I found that laterals for the most part do not make my shoulders grow. Overhead pressing such as your seated DB presses is the only thing that works for me. Military press, push press, clean and press, all good choices as well.

And the food thing that Pemdas said is also key.

Arnold press does really well for the shoulders because you are hitting all 3 sides.

Really? I'm curious as to how it targets the posterior deltoid. Seeing as the resistance is generally in front of the shoulder and in the wrong direction to target it, I'd say it would be poor at best as far as the posterior deltoid is concerned.
Also, I was pretty sure that it was mostly accepted that arnold made up this exercise just to mess with people (much like the screaming during posing).
