I have a constant nagging pain on the left side of my left knee. It hurt all day today and I dont know why. Any ideas of what it might be from? I havent worked legs in a bout a week, and in the past few days cant remember doing anything that could have affected it It feels like a sharp pain at times then just is tender to the touch thanks

Do you do any cardio? When I used to run a lot and began increasing my mileage (way too fast) I got a similar pain in my knee. So maybe that is the case, that you are doing too much too fast.

Could be a swollen patellar tendon. RICE therapy should do the trick.

I had the same problem and still kinda do. My basketball coach would give an award to whoever had the most points from dives on the floor and charges taken. 2 points for dives and 5 for charges. I won with 95 points, 40 dives and 3 charges. Needless to say this was horrible on the knees. I still have a pain in my knee that mostly affects me when I sleep. Something with the tendon.
Ice and rub heat into it. Also make sure you stretch. Eventhough you cant really stretch the knee I feel that the stretch of lifting your leg up behind helps the knee pain.

Qualters--
My knee aches sometimes at the end of a good leg workout or after being on the stairmaster. I started using stationary bikes more and I haven't been as bothered. For me, as soon as I feel it, I know it's time to chill out and not aggravate it.
