Now that I'm following the inter (then the adv) muscle mass training program and training properly, how long roughly does it take to get some size increase.I do a monthly measure up and weigh in, is it worth doing every month or is it futile and a waste of time?
Thanks!!!

It depends on how hard you train and the amount of calories you consume each day. How long have you been training? I got some noticeable size increase (8 pounds)in a couple months over the summer training to exhaustion.

I've been weight training for about 2 1/2 years but only recently been training properly.I've just started the sixth of the eight week inter muscle mass program and will start the adv program after the eighth is up.I'm not sure on the calories but roughly guessing around 2000-2500 a day but I intake as much protein as I can get and as little fat as possible.

You can gain up to 1-2 lbs muscle a month. Also, it is a good idea to measure to make sure you are not gaining too much fat. It is harder than you think to track your diet. Its definitely worth it to measure each month.

Monthly measurements and weigh-ins can be a great idea. When you see results, it makes you want to train all the harder to see more results. So I would recommend you sticking with it.

Another thing you might want to try that worked for me is, every other week I add some power lifting with heavy weight. Also remember to do every rep as strick as you can and pause at the top.

Measuring monthly is a good idea, at least it has worked for me in the past. It allows you to see the progress you make or dont make. If you see gains no matter how small you are on the right track. Remember to be patient and give it time. If not it is time to rexamine your routine and diet.

People sometimes get discouraged early on in their lifting because results are TYPICALLY slow at first. Once you start to establish a good base, you can see more rapid results and eventually notice things weekly. Like I said though, it takes awhile to build the base to make this possible.
