this question has been on my mind for a long time. Here's the scenerio: on a training day, several hours after your workout you get tired and doze off, taking a nap. will this short 1-2 hour nap affect (decrease) the rate of muscle being built during the 8 hour sleep at the end of the night?

Any rest is good rest. In short, no.

Lucky! I get 6hrs sleep no matter when or how damn long I try and sleep... I HATE IT! No matter how miserable I am I can never take naps... ugh!!!

I never used to be able to nap either. When I first quit smoking I'd go out like a light every chance I got, and the same thing when I quit caffeine... Naps rock! If I only got 6 hours of sleep a night I'd be napping every day! haha
