i've been lifting after school three days a week with some other football players since february. my bench has only gone up about 20 pounds. i dont think my squat has gone up much and i just dont feel like im getting that much stronger. i dont really know why. i've been following

wow i screwed that up its just im starting to get discouraged it seems like im wasting my time. meanwhile my parter who does less work than me and doesnt follow any kind of diet is starting to catch up to me after ive been stronger than him the whole time. when we maxed a couple weeks ago i benched 20 pounds more than me but today he could match everything i did.

and i figure while im at it i'll ask is this a good workout?
today we did 4 sets bench, 3 sets 7-21's, 4 sets front squats, 3 sets snatch, 3 sets jump shrugs, 3 sets lateral squat (i dont feel like i really get much out of these i might be doing them wrong) 3 sets 1 arm dumbell rows 3 sets of skull crushers and we were supposed to do some medicine ball pushups but i didnt get to that. im tired but i dont know how much i really accomplished. people talk about training harder but what exactly do they mean? less rests between sets? more weight?

sorry that was a bit confusing but yea i want strenght and mass strength of course being more important

are you on the football team or just working out with them?
cause that workout looks like a "get in shape, to get in shape" workout......meaning to build the base before the big stuff.

yea should i try and do something different? i dont have access to anything else just a crappy bowflex that i really dont like but i can stay and do whatever i need to at teh school gym after we lift which is something i usually do
