I'm not sure if you all will classify this as a "healthy" snack before you go to bed but here it goes.

6 egg whites beaten
1 tablespoon of ketchup
1 oz. of fat free turkey breast.

Mix in together and enjoy.

any comments on this little recipe? Is it a good Idea? I know the ketchup isn't the greatest idea, but it's only a tiny bit of it. 15 calories to be exact.

Doesn't sound to bad to me, i'd add in some EFA's like flax seed oil. Nothing beats, some cottage cheese, a protein shake mixed with some glutamine and flax seed oil. But yours doesn't that bad but i would def. add some EFA's in there.

It's definetely not bad for you, but there are a few staples of a pre-bed meal for most people: cottage cheese, natty pb, and flax oil. The cottage cheese is a good source of casein protein, the pb and oil are a good source of efa's, it all takes a while to digest, and there's very few carbohydrates.

On my last bulk, my pre-bed meal was usually:

1 cup cottage cheese
1 tbsp natty pb (or 16 almonds)
Small spinach salad with low-cal raspberry vinagrette dressing and 1tbsp flax oil.

dont worry...

best prebed snacks (for me) are:
*egg whites + green veggies
*cottage cheese + PB + milk
*protein shake: whey + caseine + milk

alright thanks guys. I really love eating this snack, and I also know about those other meals before meals, but I'd like to continue eating this snack/meal.
