I'm so fed up with ab workouts. No matter what I do or for how long I do it my ab never improves. I'm at the point now where I feel my abdomin has gotten more solid but hasn't flattened at all! If anyone has any ideas, help, or insight to where i'm going wrong let me know. THANKS!

its all about your diet, you can work them forever but if you dont eat right you are just gonna be building muscle behind a layer of fat.

Thats the thing....I've changed my diet completely but yet it continues. Maybe I'm missing something somewhere. Does it say anywhere certain foods, etc that mainly land in the abdomin area? I'm a 5'4 girl that ways 140lbs and I'm not fat by any means. I'm just sick of having a stomach that won't lie flat.

here is a link to a post on the healthy person's grociery list on here, you could compare what you are eating to the things on the list and see how you match up. I'm not sure if certain foods go to designated areas in the body, but i do not think so. I know that the areas of your body that you get fat in can be genetic tho.

It will also depend on how much cardio you are doing, how much weight training - it takes a total body routine to get a flat stomach, there is no such thing as spot reducing.
Look in FAQs under abs, then do a fit buddy search at the bottom of the page for abs, flat stomach, six-pack... you will find a lot of reading to do!
