Quality information on whey, some may be known, but some may not be...As important as strong muscles are to us, just as important is a strong immune system, and whey it just so happens can help fortify your defenses. Whey contains an abundance of the amino acid cysteine, which the body uses to create glutathione, a powerful antioxidant that improves the immune system's response to infection and helps mop up free radicals.
Human prostate cells treated with whey proteins in the labaroratory cranked out more glutathione-by up to 64%, leading researchers to believe that whey protein mayhelp protect against prostate cancer(Toxicol Vitro 2003).
Another vital part of a resilient imune system is a healthy digestive tract, one filled with friendly probiotic bacteria that can muscle harmful germs out of the way. Some whey componenets have been found to function as prebiotics-nutrients that selectively stimulate probiotic growth and activity.
One whey protein, lactoferrin, is able to bind with iron, depriving bad guy germs of this important mineral while supplying it to the bodies probiotic defenders(J Nutr 2001;131:2101-4). Other whey compounds called immunoglobulins keep the toxins bad bacteria create from binding to the walls of the bowel.
So, the news is all good on whey!!

Well guys, this is a really serious post. The masturbation post was for laughs, but these are legitimate studies recorded in the prestigious Journal of Nutrition. I list the article if any care to read it.

I honestly thought there was some truth in the masturbation post.
They both make common sense anyway.

Well excuse me for living...all sarcasm aside, I was especially interested in this article because I supplement with whey. It was informative and the reference checks out. When dieting down, its good to know that I have another supplement working to my advantage that I NEVER knew worked in that way. BB1, I didn't read the study in depth, but is there a recommended intake of whey that will trigger these effects?
