Alright...so im 19 and i have a hard time gaining weight right? Well at school ive been bustin my arse to workout hard and gain hard...and what has become of it? More frustration.

When i really was trying to figure out nutrition...its very hard while at college. And the worst part is that Im not allowed to have ANYthing that can be used for cooking in my room...only a refrigerator. So here's what im frustrated about. I was sooo worried about eating healthy and getting the C/F/P count each day that i would consistently miss my calorie count...because i was entirely too picky. Result? i have lost weight. Im sure some of you know how frustrating this is....and i knwo its all about the diet.

So my question is this: Should i be more focused on hitting that calorie count consistently, or should i worry that its the right distribution c/f/p wise? I begin worrying about the c/f/p and because of the limited access to stuff here at school i end up with way less calories than i needed. And if you do say i should really be worrying most about c/f/p what are some cheap foods that need NO preparation at all that i can store in my room?

Be concerned with both, there has to be a way to make it work.
Tuna, we eat it right out of the can or pouch here.
Large containers of meal replacements based on whey protein, cheap when broken down by price per serving, most mix with just water.
can you purchase hard boiled eggs any where?
lowfat cheese
whole grain bread
cottage cheese
apples
pre-cooked chicken and turkey breast meat

Do you know anyone with a kitchen you could use? maybe you could prep food at someone else's house once or twice a week and keep it in your fridge. Then you could have chicken breasts, veggies, many items.

Good luck!
